Manually Assigning Statuses

Any document in your Liaison Athena database, e-mail or EDI, can be manually assigned a status. Athena has several built-in statuses for you to choose from:

  • New
  • Pending
  • In Process
  • Complete
  • Canceled
  • Rejected

From the Custom Statuses tab found in Athena's preferences, you can modify, edit, or create new custom statuses, as shown next.

Once you have customized the list of status choices to be applicable to your business environment, you can begin assigning these statuses to your documents by right-clicking a document (or group of highlighted documents) and selecting "Status" from the context menu that appears, as shown next.

  • Assigned statuses display in the far right column for a folder.

As discussed in Advanced Criteria Search, you can search your database using document status as a criterion.
